All software and source code provided by NSI can be used to support development of your registrar systems, subject to the terms of the license agreement between your company and NSI. Two different archived versions of this distribution are included: one which can be extracted to a Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT platform, and one which can be extracted to a UNIX platform. Please refer to the platform-specific installation instructions found below. To Install on Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT (TM) The file 'registrar-toolkit-.exe' is a self-extracting archive prepared for the Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT platform. To extract the archive, run the executable by double-clicking on its icon. A dialog box will prompt you to enter the directory where you would like the files to be installed. By default, the archive will be extracted in the directory from which the executable is run. The following directory structure will be created in the directory where the files are installed: API/ Documentation/ To Install on Unix Platforms Almost all commercially distributed UNIX Operating Systems, as well as many freeware versions, have the 'compress' and 'uncompress' utilities. The file 'registrar-toolkit-.tar.Z' is a compressed tar (tape archive) file. Please follow these steps to uncompress and extract the archive: 1. Verify that the "uncompress" and "tar" commands exist. 2. Uncompress the archived registry.tar.Z file, being sure to replace the string with the actual version number included in the file name: % uncompress registrar-toolkit-.tar.Z 3. CD to the directory where you would like the files to be installed and copy the file 'registrar-toolkit-.tar' into that directory. 4.
