Qualify for a "Designed for Windows" logo and include your
product in a Windows catalog or directory

Being included in Windows Catalog, Windows
Server Catalog, and .NET Connected Directory are great opportunities
for product manufacturers to showcase their products. Those products
which qualify for a "Designed for Windows" logo or a .NET
Connected logo are featured in one of the Microsoft catalogs or directories.

The Microsoft Logo
Program establishes acceptable quality performance standards for software
applications, hardware, systems, and XML services and applications,
resulting in the best computing experiences with Microsoft's products.
Additionally, it provides a way for customers to identify those products
that have been optimized for the next generation of Internet-enabled
computing.
You must establish a Windows Quality Online
Services or "Winqual" account to have your product included
in one of the Microsoft catalogs or directories. As part of the online
registration process, you are asked to obtain a VeriSign Code Signing
ID (Class 3 Organizational Certificate), which you will use to digitally
sign and upload your software applications, hardware, drivers, systems,
and services. This ID verifies the identity of your business through
VeriSign, and ensures your data is secured as you upload files to Microsoft.
The ID also determines who can submit products on your company's behalf.
After you receive your Microsoft Authenticode®
Code Signing ID, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/winlogo/
to begin the process of qualifying your product for a logo and for being
displayed in a Windows catalog or directory.
