Document IDs Product Help - Importing an ID

Use the import function to replace a corrupted Authentic Document ID with a backup file, or to transfer your Authentic Document ID to another machine.

  1. Open the Authentic Document ID Preferences Center page in your browser, and click Import Key.

The Key Import page is opened in your Web browser.

  1. Click Browse to locate the key file you want to import.
  2. When the Choose File dialog box appears, locate the key file you want to import, and click Open.
  3. Click Import on the Key Import page when you have located the file you want to import.

The PTA launches the Unlock Profile screen.

  1. Enter the password you gave the file when you exported the key, and click Unlock.

The following message appears when the keys for your Digital ID have been successfully imported.

  1. Click OK.
    • You will be automatically returned to the Authentic Document ID Preferences Center page.
