VeriSign® Carrier IP Connect |
 |
|
VeriSign® Carrier IP Connect allows interoperability
between VoIP domains that are connected to the VeriSign platform. Carrier
IP Connect enables carriers to extend VoIIP and new revenue IP applications
beyond the borders of their own network. Interoperability is streamlined
by establishing a single connection point to the VeriSign network, rather
than having to maintain multiple interconnection points with other VoIP
provider’s networks. With access to more end points via the VeriSign
network, carriers can extend their VoIP reach and respond as their customers
advance to IP technologies.
Protected Interconnection Points
The carrier’s interconnection points are protected
with VeriSign’s firewall management and our Security Operations Center
providing 24 x 7 health monitoring, intrusion detection and incident
response.
Trusted Directory
Accessing other VoIP networks and allowing
access by other VoIP providers requires a trusted directory. VeriSign’s
Network Routing Directory provides common multi-service registry services
for inter-domain routing; authorization, authentication and accounting
(AAA); and access to third-party applications.
Interoperability
Support of H.323, SIP and CMSS protocols allows
Carrier IP Connect to transparently resolve protocol differences and
normalize traffic between VoIP networks for delivery of voice service
and features regardless of IP technologies and vendor equipment.
Proven Robust Infrastructure
IP Connect services are supported by our Network
Routing Directory, built upon the same VeriSign infrastructure that
handles transactions for the Internet’s .com and .net domains.
