Overview
In 1991, Midwest Wireless was the first company
to bring wireless service to select areas within rural Minnesota, and
has expanded steadily since, growing to become one of the leading wireless
service providers in the Midwest area. With over 340,000 customers in
68 counties, Midwest Wireless understands the value of catering to the
needs of a regional base, and to providing its customers with the latest
in communications technology.
Key Challenges
Reaching a rapidly growing base while providing
regionally customized support is no easy task, and Midwest Wireless
needed a partner who could assist with managing the infrastructure and
optimize their service. In particular, Midwest Wireless wanted to offer
its rural clients the same stable, cutting-edge options that urban wireless
users receive.
Solution
Midwest Wireless partnered with VeriSign to
receive a wide variety of services, including the speedSUITE™ billing
service, ANSI-41 roaming support, and assistance in building out a G3
network. VeriSign provided consultation and support as Midwest Wireless
established their network, and provided key infrastructure.
Results
- Having partnered with VeriSign, Midwest Wireless was able to build
a reliable G3 network and billing system quickly and cost-effectively.
